Cuba deports U.S. fugitive charged with sex crimes

HAVANA, Cuba (AP) -- Cuba says it has turned over to U.S. authorities an American fugitive sought on charges of sex crimes with a minor.

Leonard B. Auerbach has been sought for sexual exploitation of a minor and possession of child pornography.

Cuba says it decided to deport Auerbach to the U.S. because the crimes he is charged with "are of a grave character and strongly fought by our authorities."
